It was the Boones brothers, Daniel and Squire, who in 1790 discovered the cavern now know as Squire Boone Caverns. Squire later escaped a band of hostile Indians by hiding in the caverns. In 1804, he settled permanently in this valley, located just south of Corydon Indiana. Today thousands of visitors visit the village of Squire Boone where many delicious products are made.
